High Point Sports — Parent & Spectator Code of Conduct

At High Point Sports, we believe that a powerful youth sports experience comes from positive energy, mutual respect, and a community-first mindset. Our mission is to develop young athletes who demonstrate integrity, teamwork, confidence, and leadership, and this starts with the way adults — especially parents and spectators — support the game.

As a parent or spectator at any High Point Sports event, I understand and agree that:

1) I Support the Mission First

I will cheer for effort, sportsmanship, and growth over wins and losses. I understand that development and character matter more than the scoreboard.

2) I Respect All Participants

I will show respect for:

• Players

• Coaches

• Officials

• League staff

• Other families and spectators

I will refrain from using derogatory language, negativity, criticism, or behavior that distracts from a positive environment.

3) I Uphold Positive Sportsmanship

I will:

• Encourage my athlete and their teammates

• Promote teamwork and confidence

• Celebrate effort, not just outcomes

I will model respect for the game, including the decisions of coaches and officials.

4) I Respect Officials

Officials are part of the game experience. I will respect their authority and decisions. I will not:

• Yell at or approach officials aggressively

• Question calls in a hostile or demeaning way

• Undermine the experience for players or families

5) I Communicate Constructively

If I have a question or concern about my athlete’s experience, I will:

• Communicate respectfully

• Seek resolution privately (not during games/matches)

• Follow the league’s communication guidelines

6) I Support a Safe Environment

I will contribute to an atmosphere that is:

• Safe

• Inclusive

• Welcoming

• Free from harassment or abuse of any kind

I will not tolerate behavior that harms others — physically or emotionally.

7) I Honor League Rules & Expectations

I agree to follow all league policies including:

• Game & sideline procedures

• Parking and facility rules

• Conduct expectations from High Point Sports

8) I Represent High Point Sports With Pride

I understand that my words and actions reflect on our league, our teams, and my athlete. I will choose positivity and respect at all times.
